Hair Dare
Are you up for the challenge? Whether it's a shave for cancer, a quirky cut, or a vibrant splash of colour, take the leap and stand out! When it comes to fundraising for cancer, a fun hair transformation can make all the difference.
Celebrate
Dedicate your birthday, naming day, bar mitzvah, wedding, Christmas, Hanukkah or other special occasion by donating or raising funds for cancer research. Ask for a donation instead of a gift or use your celebration to raise funds. It’s up to you how you wish to support.
Challenge
Move your way for cancer research. Whether it’s a dance challenge or a mountain climb, turn your movement into a fundraiser for lifesaving cancer research.

Since 2017, ACRF champion Will Bond has run the iconic City2Surf race in his famous Lion Dance Costume in honour of his late Kung Fu Sifu, Randy, who sadly passed away earlier in 2017 from cancer.
“Cancer makes me feel like there is so much we don’t know about the world and so much we can’t control, even with our own bodies. I believe that continued research is the only way forward in achieving an end to cancer, which is why I chose to raise funds for ACRF.”
“If you’re thinking about taking on the Hair Dare, do it! This has been one of my proudest moments". Sharon bravely shaved her head to honour her close friend, who during cancer treatment suffered devastating hair loss, and raised an incredible $5,636 to help fund brilliant research. “I’m doing it for the friend who said she sat on the floor in the shower sobbing after she started washing her hair and it was falling out in clumps”.
After nurturing his hair for two and a half years, Will took the shave for cancer challenge, cutting his 35cm long mane. His bold move raised over $6,300 for cancer research.
And, in a heartfelt gesture, he donated his hair to Wigs for Kids. Will's inspiration? Remembering his beloved grandmother “Narni”, who tragically lost her fight against a rare and aggressive lung cancer in July 2022. He honoured her memory by getting the big chop on her birthday, 9 December.
